Describe your typical day?
One of the things I like about my job is that there really is not such a thing as a typical day. I am fortunate to work for a company where my role challenges me and presents a good deal of variety. We have a salesforce of 20+ professionals dispersed globally.
A good deal of my role involves internal co-ordination of process associated with helping the company expand its client base globally and broadening its distribution capabilities. I work with every part of the organization, as well as with our affiliates.
What are your challenges?
The breadth and depth of my role can be a challenge at times. There are situations when I need to know the miniscule details of a project or a process and I have to balance that with other situations where the detail may not be of primary importance to the task in hand. I rely on my colleagues to educate me on their processes and functions and I am pleased to say that they have always come through and delivered.

What attracted you to working at Babson Capital?
Babson Capital still has the feel of a small company but the reality is that we are a large, global firm. I like the fact that I know my colleagues in our other offices around the globe and there's a real sense of team spirit. We all have an interest in seeing the company grow.

What is your biggest piece of advice that you have learned that you apply regularly in your job?
Be open to the views and opinions of others - over time, I’ve learned that the best ideas can come from many and, sometimes, unexpected sources.
